Would it be possible that there is some material in the current solar system which was created by a previous iteration of our sun? Or would all material from a previous sun in our solar system have been blown to bits or ejected from the area during a super nova?

Our solar system is made up of left overs from previous generations of stars, that much is correct; however it's likely that some if not all of the stars that contributed to those in the local group that are of our Sun's generation were bigger stars that burned fast and died young. It's unlikely that a solar system like ours formed from the remnants of a single stellar predecessor.
