Hi, Just started watching this thread...I was wondering if my Celestron C6-rgt (six inch Achromat refractor) would work with the BB. It is 1200mm focal length, f/8.
I also have a .5 focal reducer that I use with my Low light security camera (Polaris); would this corrector be needed to use the BB?? I'm mainly interested in the BB for high power Planetary work, and occasional DSO's. Let me know your thoughts on whether my scope could be used along with the BB, or if there is some other device needed to allow it to work.....Don

It depends on how much focus range you have. I was able to use a binoviewer on mine by leaving the diagonal out. It would take a corrector to get it to focus with the diagonal in place; your reducer won't do it.

Thanks John, for the reply. Is the Paracor a corrector?

Paracor is a parobola corrector. It corrects coma in a
fast parabolic mirror. I can't see it helping a bino
come to focus in a refractor.

You need something that will extend the focal point of
your objective further out. I know that there are specific
correctors for this out there. Denkmeier makes some
specifically for bino use in reflectors and for refractors.

P.S. I sent you a PM.

Me? I don't have any yet. But I'm drooling at the idea.
I'm trying to sell off some stuff to get a pair, plus
some matching eyepieces.

Maybe after Christmas. The kids have to come first...

Actually, to anyone that has bought the Burgess BVs, where did you buy them from?
