They're in Toronto already? Looks like I'm going to be making a trip sooner rather than later.

I am not sure if the new canon software will support the 30D with the intervale exposures. I will test my XT with the software and if it works then you can proabably be safe in assuming that the 30D would as well. Or the next best thing is the TC80N but it can be pricey. There are also some cheeper options either software or electronic that others might be able to get you info on.

If your looking to save some money pickup a 30D soon, everywhere I go I see them on sale as stores try to clear their inventory. Henry's here in toronto is selling the kit for $999. http://www.henrys.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ItemsDisplay?storeId=10001&mrktInitiativeId=2346&departmentId=10404&mrktInitName=Canon+EOS+30D+w18-55mm+lens+070905&categoryId=10429&itemID=167370&catalogId=10001&ddkey=DepartmentDisplay

Still agreat camera to work with ?
I hope I do the right thing, will contact Hutech on the modding.
They have a lot of modded Canons for sale, which one should I buy for deep sky imaging that brings out the red more ?
Is temperature sensor great to have ?

Yeah, I ended up buying this camera in November 2007, and it's great for astro. I wouldn't give it up, except maybe for the XSi-- the live view, 14 bit Raws, and long exposure through the USB cable are great features. It's a good purchase if you're so inclined. As for which hutech mod to get, that's a matter of needs. IF you want to do IR photography, get the clear glass + a daylight drop-in filter + a UV-IR drop in filter if you image with a refractor or camera lens-- granted that would be quite a bit more expensive, it leaves the most options available.

Is that dark frame a 'regular' taken dark or a 'cooled' dark frame ?
That looks incredable good !
