Where is Everybody? by Stephen Webb was the most enjoyable and thought provoking astronomy book I have read in years. I find myself rereading chapters and mulling over possible solutions to the Fermi Paradox.
However the, "Doomsday and the Delta t Argument", outlined on pages 130 to 134 struck me as completely absurd. By that argument a ten year old used car is likely to out last a new car.

Did anyone else feel the same way?
