Stargate

The asterism Stargate is a multiple star system, known as Struve 1659.

The sketch is made with my 8" Dobson with a magnification of 111x.

A wonderful capture of the Stargate and it does remind me of the gate Buck Rogers would fly through! Nicely done. For information on this asterism can be found here

The Stargate is a remarkable asterism. Via Corvus also easy to find. So if you are observing Virgo or Corvus, you really have to check this one out!
