M41 and NGC 2362
      #3115236 - 05/19/09 05:50 PM Attachment (41 downloads)

It's been a while since I last tried my hand and sketching and apparently it seems I'm very rusty. It's also the first time I sketched using my refractor so my orientations might be out.

(With a diagonal the image is flipped left to right, but top to bottom is correct. So that means N is clockwise from W - hopefully that's correct!?)

Crusader,

If your rusty it doesn't show to me! Wonderful capture of M41 and NGC 2362 (one of my favorite open clusters). Star variance and positioning is right on. Nicely done.

Jay

KJ,

Excellent observations of M41 and NGC 2362 in Canis Major. These are two fine objects to observe in the Winter sky. Thank you for sharing them with us all.

Carlos

Thanks for the positive feedback guys. I appreciate it. I only wish I had the ability and time at the EP to more accurately sketch the star fields. Sadly I'm limited to sticking to only the brightest and easily drawn groupings.
