Celestron Bino's new
      #34597 - 01/01/04 11:47 AM

Had my first real good look through these the other night. Concentrated on Jupiter/Saturn for about a hour.
I used the single 12.5mm initially then put the two 12.5 's through the Bino. The only other combined EP's I have are 6mm but seeing was not that good.
The difference between a one eye view and two is incredible - has to be 'seen' to be believed
Contrast and eye relief much better.

I can see these being attached 'as standard' from now on.
Best value for money extra by a long way.

Welcome to the world of two eyed viewing! It is pretty amazing to actually see the difference - isn't it. Some folks see a 3D effect with both eyes....the closest I ever got was with a pair of 16mm Type 5 Naglers and a 4" APO. Bino's seem to be my viewing method of choice these days, and rarely resort to cyclops mode anymore.

Thanks for your post!
