I put together this quick article and shall probably include it in my review, which is still to come.

I thought everyone would like to see this as it is so easy and cheap!

Can you post some pictures of it in action so I can get a better feel for how you are using it? I am going to try to source one here in the states. 1 1/4 inches is approx 32mm... I will have a look today.

Great idea, I was trying to come up with something similar. Only thing, is that a tight fit on the camera lens? Mine (A95) moves in and out when you zoom or switch modes or turn it off. I'd be really afraid to "lock" it into that! Any danger of that?

Yeah, I was thinking that the A40's lens retracts when it auto powers off. I wouldn't want to be around me if that happened.

That is nice I did do somthing similar with my old canon a10 but I ended up grinding the lens gears and buying a new camera.
