The Magrez 80mm ED Triplet has shipped, and will be here in a week or so. I am finishing up on fabricating a dovetail and set of rings, as well as a counter-weight system for under the SCT. It will serve 2 purposes- 1) as a wide field imaging scope (using the 10" SCT as a guidescope) 2) as a guidescope for prime focus photography through the 10" SCT.
Unfortunately the camera adapter for the magrez wont be here for a few more weeks  .. but it will give me some time to get used to using the magrez on the SCT! 
I am guessing a 2" wide, by 3/4" thick dovetail plate should be hefty enough to keep the scope stable.. the rings will be 6" OD, 5" ID (1/2" thick walls) and 5/8" thick, with 3/8" adjusting screws. Am I over-designing, or does this sound about right?
