Well,it's not me that made this binoviewer.I am not that kind of guys who have good DIY ability. It was made by another member of Bootes Astro BBS(where Chinese astro fans gather and exchange ideas.).

Clear aperture 29mm
Inerpupil Distance 60-90mm
Use 2" Star Diaganl but only accept 1.25 eyepieces.

Beam Splitter and mirror,bought from surplusshed.com

wow, looks like you put some thought and hard work in that ,
you should be able to keep the dust out with old film containers( black with grey lid).
i believe they are the same size as the 1.25 eyepieces

isn't that the head of the johnny -5 robot
( short circut movie )..just kid'n.
but the laser gave it eyes

What's inside the beam splitter cube and how does it work? A prism? In what orientation?

I am not the maker of this binoviewer.He made this for personal use.The maker hasn't posted his review about how it feel like.He made this binoviewer because he want larger clear aperture.Here you can only get a kind of 17mm CA binoviewer(BC&F Binomate de facto).

Beam splitter is to split the light into two part.I think the three mirrors will act like prism.I am not the expert,but I think it will work in this way(correct me if I am wrong):
