Woo... the author got all the possible accessories, except otherwise like binoviewer as mentioned, and maybe also a h-alpha filter... 
BTW, I wonder if the focus lever really helps noticeably? since the eye will accomodate any slight shift, of course, a critical focus helps relaxing the eyes...

Very enjoyable article. Lots of info. I like your approach to magnification. I prefer resolution over size of image. My max DSO EP is a 10mm Pentax XW yeilding 100x. I hope some day to upgrade my scope to a 100mm APO.

Great article David, thanks. I am awaiting delivery of a used TV85 and like you were, am a bit flummoxed by all of the possibilities. The TV Ranger I upgraded from gave me that "wow" feeling too, and I am sure the 85 will be even better. The comments about the tripod and mount were most helpful, thanks.
