Thanks Steve!
The Sung-Rugs look like a neat product.
Sorry, I didn't notice when I read your request to see the bino "family" that you had also started the thread. I would have posted the image there but I wasn't thinking.

This pic has the Leica 12x50BA added and the 10x70 Fuji left out.
All the best,

A do it all binocular? I would go with the Zeiss 10x42FL and the Swarovski 8.5x42EL as a very close second.

Hi Again Rich,I was just wondering, when you bought your Swarovski EL 8.5x42 did you get a very nice box that it came in.When I bought my Swarovski SLC 7x30 about 1982 or so,it came with a very nice box, really kind of beautiful. Some of the binoculars you buy today have very ugly boxes,Nikon is one of them esp. when you buy the high end binoculars you would think they would have a better box.I know you are paying for the optics and all but .BTW I no longer have the box,it was thrown away by accident. Steve ,
When you say ( or at least type the word ) BOX , are you talking / typing about a container constructed from wood , cardboard , metal or plastic , or from some other material which escapes my imagination at the time of typing ?
Genuinely interested ,
Kenny

Hi Kenny,Sorry I should of made myself clear. That would be a cardboard box of high quality that the binoculars fit in with a picture of a hawk [buzzard]on the outside with more pictures of items [I forget].The box was just big enough for the binocular and was made to protect the binocular when inside while being shipped. You would put this binocular box inside another shipping container of course to ship it. Hi Steve,
There is a dark green cardboard sleeve over a white cardboard box. I thought at least one of my ELs also came in an aluminum case. I'm not sure where I put the case.

I also have a 10x42EL.
The green sleeve says Swarovsky and has the bird.
Why are you so interested in the box?

Hi Rich,I was just wondering if Swarovski still packed their binoculars in a nice box that is all.I was wondering also if any of the other brand of binoculars you have came in a nice box or anything like that. Some of the boxes that binoculars come in are so ugly and cheap made for the money you pay.I know I am weird .It is just the little things that can make a difference in pride of ownership of some of these high end binoculars. It's funny you should mention that, Steve. Nikon packages its high-end binoculars in some pretty funky boxes. I thought I was the only one who thought that was a little odd! So, Rich, how does Swarovski box its babies?

Ok. This is a Swarovski box and sleeve. This box has all the goodies including a Swarovsky logo tie tac.
I think either one of both of my Swarovaki ELs also came in an aluminum case. I'm sure one or both are here... somewhere.

Here are a few other binocular boxes. The Leica box held a Leica strap but it is the same design for the binocular box.
