I think we need to get a handle on what everyone is bringing, both equipment wise and incidentals.
Here is y list: ETX70 setup for solar/w tripod, C8 imaging and Deepspace/w tripod, 127mm refractor wide view and imaging/ w tripod, (2) 17AH power supplies, laptop, 4 man tent , sleepingbag, 50ft extention cord and 8 outlet surge suppressor, Yeunglings (Scott would never forgive me if I didn't), Star atlass, field guide, various other charts, sketching material. DSI, dew heaters. 4 port outlet strip for mount power. (20 red flashlights, planisphere. Optics cleaning kit, Metric/standard allen wrenches, phillips screwdriver.

Did I forget anything

The kitchen sink stays home.

This time I'll have a tent as well (I liked the look of yours last year so I picked one up). I'll bring as much Solar gear as I can come up with; should include Ha and CaK PST's plus a 7" Meade Mak set up for Ha and whatever scopes with whitelight filters I have on hand (I'm not sure any of the filters I have fit any of my scopes - dunno how that happened). I bet I have a whitelight to fit your 5" refractor, though - and I know I have one to fit your C8. I'll bring 'em along in case you want to borrow them.

Sounds like a plan to me John. I've go an extra mounting plate that should fit just about any mount . I'll bring that, and Ive got a sheet of Baader Solar film, and an 8" hoop if someone wants to make a filter. Almost forgot, also bringing my Mavica camera for pictures of the group. I may stay an extra day or two and visit if I have the time this year.

Only if I have to. I'll also be bringing a roll of red lens tape, if anybody needs it. I like to be prepared.

I thought the food offered at the canteen was great and the prices right. Others might disagree, of course.

If you get the U2K working, you won't have to find it!

M51's much easier to catch from a dark site; that may make all the difference. Scott will be running his big Dob manually so you might want to get some tips from him. I'll be in manual mode for Sol but at night the automation comes into play.

Diane may have something to say about "Stella". But then again with all the scopes, I'm sure one or more of us will beable to find M51 and help Andy out.

I hope they have registration at the door. I'll be driving straight down from a week-long campout at Cole Canoe Base, a Boy Scout Summer Camp in Michigan, arriving Saturday before dark. If I make it, I'll have the 15" Obsession with me from camp plus the Collins I3. Trust me, Andy, with that combination plus a dark sky you'll see all of M51, including the bridge and the outer arms I'll also have the double stacked SM60 with me, plus my new (from NEAF) Hutech-modified Rebel XT DSLR and Baader MPCC coma corrector. Maybe John and Paul can get me launched in the right direction with imaging...

I may make it to Dayton, too. One place or the other, I'm really looking forward to another CN get-together!

Oh man. I'm getting so excited. I can plop down on a chair in the middle of the field and be completely surrounded by solar scopes! You boys can just set up them around me.

Gary, I guess Paul and I'll see you at Dayton too. Patrick will be there as well.

They do, and the field is larger than required by the usual attendance (unless the CN contingent grows much more!) so it should be easy to get a spot Saturday night.
