Its that time again gang. here is the info I got from Dave @ Tech2000 Quote:
The date has just been set for June 2/3, 1st qtr Moon, since Memorial Day occurs May 29. Working to get the NASA exhibit bus down here again as they had been cut on funds last year. It's theater functions & heating are great on the 'Cloudy-Nights'! We hook up to the high voltage available from the barn, the bus also has a generator onboard for standalone. Call anytime if you encounter any travel or plan exceptions. Paul, Ruth & I will be there et. al. regardless of weather etc. Website will be updated with the date but maps & meals etc are all the same as before.
-Dave/Tech2000
Hope to see everyone again, along with some new CNer's.

It wouldn't be the same without you two.

Zach,
It is a matter of choice. If it is to far, it is to far. I attended last year, met some great p[eople, and had a great time. To top it all off, it cost me $400 in car repairs to get there.

Zach, we could probably work out a way for you to go with us if you'd like. We're thinking of going on Friday late afternoon and coming back early Sunday morning. But that's not set in stone yet.

Page has not been updated yet , but here is the link: Sky Tour. last years was a good time for those of us who attended, very laid back and informal.

They had really good food too, and we were welcomed by all. This year I won't be so timid and actually ask to have a peek through everyone else's scopes.

I have a feeling everyone is going to want to have a peek at your sketch book Erika. If anyone who is thinking of attending wants to see what it was like , go to Wanna Meet in Ohio . There are pictures and a brief write up of last year.

Erika, thanks for the offer. I'll ask my parents if they want to go. My brother lives in Cleveland, so I could always drag him along with me. I think my parents will go, but they might be all astrode out by then, since they are going to NEAF with me this year.

Just received an email from Dave at Tech2000 the sponsors of Sky Tour :
Quote:
Jim: Paul is checking on the NASA bus to come again. June 2 is out so now we are targeting Friday/Sat June 23 for SkyTour 2006 where it is not booked. 3rd qtr Moon. FYI. Will broadcast the info when it is settled. See you there. -Dave
So for now we are looking at the end of June.

Not sure but it looks about over half way there from Columbus, so maybe an hour? You could always use Mapquest to find out just how far and ~time.
From I70 in Columbus it will take about 2 hours. It took us 2.5 from Zanesville.

It will be nice to see the crew from last year again, and adding some new faces will be even nicer. At the rate we are going, we'll have a really nice sized CN group, and will get to meet face to face those members who until now we know only from their posts and avatars.
Looking forward to see one and all in June.
