Webcams anyone new
      #7892 - 08/28/03 09:08 AM

I havejust purchased a used LX200 10" and I have been up with fantasitcaly clear skies almost every night for a week..
Needless to say my job is getting in the way of this hobby !

I was wondering if anyone here has tried any webcam work.
I have a limited budget to start in to photography, but I realy want to capture some of these views ....

Any thoughts ?

Yes, a philips ToUCam Pro is the webcam that you want. It's inexpensive and it uses a ccd that is good for planetary work.

Lots of people here are using them on mars.

Have a look in the observing reports from people like Oldfield, Charles, neme, myself, Alwyn, and many others.

cheers, Bird
