Took this at a park in down town Phoenix. Some sort of Water Lily I believe. Let me know what it really is if you know. Taken with the little Casio.

The germaniums are like kittens, very cute at this stage - before the heat sucks all the juices out of them.

My front yard plants are doing rather well this year, last yyear everything was pummeled by a ferocious hailstorm so I guess this makes up for last year

Just for you Ron. I am 5'9' tall for reference. The sunflower was over 6' tall when this picture was taken. It is now almost 9' tall. The picture was to show off my nice green front lawn that the wife payed for. Lovely woman.

Thanks Ron. I've been messing with the Sigma 135-400 lens for Olympus. Some say that lens isn't all that great but I think otherwise. Can't wait to try it out on the E-510 when it comes in.

I remember you telling us about that, Manny! I'm glad everything made a full recovery.
Your front yard looks like it belongs in my yard. I've got the river rock lined beds with my hosta and daylilies too. If fact, if I hadn't known better, I would have thought that someone stole my flower beds!

The smaller rocks I hounded out of ditches and farm fields, they are erratics from the glaciers, the one big boulder I dug up at work when I did gas station tanks and piping. The day lilies I got from along the railroad tracks near here, the over 120 different types of hostas here I have been collecting for 10+ years and the big'ens are just getting huge. Lots of dollar hostas and end of year get rid of them types. I have room for more hostas but I can't find my name sheet to work from so I don't get doubles. I'll post more pics from around the botanical nightmare I have here. Manny
