4" APO objective sources
      #937548 - 05/02/06 08:50 AM

I've almost lost hope of finding a Zeis (or other less expensive) 4 inch f 10 APO lens without a cell. Anyone have a source you can refer me to?

So I'd also consider a 4 inch f 9 or 10 apochromatic objective such as Meade's or Orion / Celestron's ED objective.

Does anyone know if these can be purchased directly from these companies or their suppliers?

Thanks

Second on the TMB lens, APM is a source also. Astreya sells lens in cell but their 4" is 6.5. SAPO design might be better color corrected but as good as F/9 I wouldn't know.

Astreya has a 102 F8 coming this summer. Should make for a nice all round scope.

The Astreya 4" is not a SAPO. It's a triplet APO. Only the 130mm and 152mm sizes are SAPO.
