Nice shots, Mike! Although I must say that big bright warning sign in #5 was a little jarring after the nice peaceful scenic pics...

Rick, that's a very pretty lake shot, I'd love to be lazing around in a boat out on a lake right now...

Excellent Patrick.
And thanks for keeping the thread alive. I have a new 17-55 2.8 on order, so I'm kind of waiting for it before I venture on any shooting outings
But now I'm to broke to buy gas to drive anywhere to shoot with it when it comes

Hi guy's
A week ago I splurged on the new Canon 17-55 F/2.8 IS. Alot of discussion all over the net about this new lens. It has "L" quality optics in a EFS format. That means that it will not fit Canon's full frame cameras.
Owner reviews on the net are pretty impressive so far. The full frame users are cutting it down, because it does not have "L" quality build, which is certainly true. But, I don't plan on dropping it anytime soon. It is still a very sturdy, solid lens. But just in case, I added it to my insurance policy.
I had to sell my 100mm Oberwerk setup and my trusty 17-85 IS, which I've been shooting with since the Bahamas
Anyway, I did some test shots on the mountain today. I liked it. Hopefully I can get away on a shooting outing with it next week.

Very impressive Beg! Handheld at those shutter speed is amazing, and the pictures are nice.

Thanks guy's
The thing that I'm noticing is that the raw files seem to have alot more "pop" with color and contrast. I think this was a very good move for me. Going to Rocky Mountain National park in a few day's. Looking foreward to that.
Wish you guy's were here!
