Gordon,
The link to WO takes you to their Online Shopping page. If you want it, you could order directly from WO.

Yeah I saw that, I just thought it was odd that they were selling on ebay. Actually the price they have it listed at is more expensive here in the UK, once you have taken VAT and import duty into account.

It is shipping from Taiwan. Does this mean VAT and import duty will be charged if you buy it?

Their previous item was a SWAN, for whatever it's worth. Odd they're selling on ebay though.

I buy and sell alot on ebay and I don't like the looks of this. I would buy from a well known WO dealer and leave the one on ebay alone. There is no way to tell whether the seller is legit or not and with only one feedback and the seller being from Taiwan, I just don't like it.

Why not just contact WO directly and ask them if they 're selling on Ebay

Good Idea, this seems like a rather odd sale...

I believe they’re genuine. If you search their other auctions they list quite a bit of WO stuff.

They are absolutely genuine, brand-new, warranty-holding products, being shipped from our TW retail shop (yes, you have to pay shipping, consumer tax, duties, and the warranty is serviced from Taiwan only.. take it or leave it). BUT: look at the prices they start bidding from!
We do not have Ebay experience, so we are trying to build some Ebay history and feedbacks so that we can then offer more sophisticated selling methods which are closed to us right now.
The special prices and worldwide reach will not be going on forever; the aim of the ebay project is to build a new distribution channel mainly for our local (Asian) market.. In the meanwhile, our smart USA customers are making great deals due to the low visibility of our auctions.
If you are looking for bargains, I suggest you hurry up because it will not take us long to reach our planned number of feedbacks..

Someone might construe this as a rather racist comment! No offence taken here anyway! ;-)

I think Dan meant there was nothing someone from the US could do if the seller wasn't legitimate due to the seller being in a different country. I don't think he meant anything against anyone from Taiwan - better phrasing could clear up the intended meaning. I can understand how it could be misconstrued though.

Oh brother.............
I think once you build some EBay experience you will see that often scams originate in offshore operations with sophisticated computer expertise. Many of the more sophisticated scams originated in Asian venues. If you plan to build a presence on EBay you will come to understand this more.

No problem Scott, and thanks for posting. I thought he meant that, that is why I myself took no offence.
But to someone else it may be not as clear! I just thought Dan needed to be asked to be more careful witht he phrasing next time ;-)
In any case it seems to me that with this system people have no real protection anywhere, other than the Ebay "peer-defence" based on feedback.. It is in order to avoid cases like this and to be seen as a respectable "ebay seller" that in these next couple of weeks we are pushing to build up our feedback number.

I understand your points, but trust me scams and crime have no borders!
In order to build trust, we put our main email address for inquiries, and paypal payments to our corporate emails, so I am sure you realize it is quite hard to fake that...
As I said, since this system will mainly be used for the Asian markets, in the light of your warnings let's hope we do not get too many fake payments then!
D.

I did not intend to make a racist statement or comment but rather a fact. My personal experience with over 1400 ebay transactions, has been that scams have originated in Asia and the former USSR region.
