Barska 12-36X70 zooms (mini-equipment report)

Bought these from sportsmansguide for $80.

I used them for one night and sent them back the next day.

The narrow FOV is just too restrictive (it was around 30 degrees at low power). I'd rather have lower power and wide FOV's.

Additionally, objects were sharp at low power and fuzzy at high power.

The optics were decent - banding could be made out on jupiter, and the coatings were ok - only one ghost jupiter.

Fit and finish was good, no problems with quality - just not well suited for astronomy.

NOT recommended.
