Once you have aligned the scope you can use the SYNC function to make the GOTOs in a selected part of the sky MORE ACCURATE.

How? Simply goto a star or object within the constellation you want to search accurately. Center the star or the object, and hold down the ENTER key for two seconds, the controller will BEEP, and ask you to push the ENTER button again to SYNC.

Once you do this your gotos within that constellation, or sky area, will be more accurate. However they may be not as good on the opposite side of the sky.

This is a good technique to use to JUMP your way around the sky by adjoining constellations. Just keep SYNCing on an object within the next constellation (near the one you were viewing) and walk your way across the sky with good gotos EVERYWHERE! I LOVE the SYNC Function!
