I used a Daisy red dot on my ETX127 along with the cheesey optical finder it came with. Less than $10 bucks. Heck it's a 5" Mak, It's not for DSO work, but is a geat solar system scope. Brighter DSOs ar eay enough to find, especailly with the COL. Good luck fixing your scope, hope it's something simple.
