I'm using an Epson V700. The small images with the film sprocket holes are actually composites. I scan the film normally in the film holder(usually 2400dpi) and then rescan the strip in reflective mode and combine the two. I do this because I like the sprocket holes as a decorative frame, and also as a way to identify the frame number so if I ever want to rescan in the future I can find the right frame easily. I'm looking into finding a better holder for medium format as mine has snapped and been glued back together numerous times. Some day I may bite the bullet and get one of the holders from betterscanning.com. |
