Object: NGC 6910 - The Rocking Horse cluster RA: 20h 24m Dec.: 40° 48' Constellation: Cygnus Date/time: 2009.06.19 00:00 UT Equipment: 12" f/5 Newtonian FoV: 12' Magnification: 250x Seeing: 7/10 Transparency: 4/5 Sketched on plain 80gr white paper with HB pencil, then inverted on computer. Inspired by Starobserver's sketch in the Sketching forum, I decided to give this little object a go. The name says it all, it really looks like a little horse jumping. Although it is formed by fairly bright stars, it is recommended to use high magnification. It's in such an easy position, that I wonder why it is so neglected. |
