Rony-- Once again, your sketches are fantastic. Thank you for continuing this project, which looks like it will make a major contribution to the world of binocular observing and sketching. . . . Now, do you think you can settle a big discussion we seem to have [with great frequency] in this forum--which is better for night sky observing: 8x40 or 10x50? Perhaps you can approach a future object by giving us two sketches of the same object with different magnification and apertures. For example, how does the 8x40 present one of the Messier's and then how a 10x50 presents the same object? . . . Another interesting project for your magical pencil/computer is to illustrate how various optics of different models affect the aesthetics that go to make up the art side of a better view--say color, brightness, darkness, environment, stray light, and on and on and on. I am sure the binocular regulars can give you some additional effects they would like to see illustrated by your talent. . . . How about it, guys? Can Rony's art contribute something unique to your next binocular book? Something that many potential readers would like to see illustrated--but have not seen illustrated before? |
