I have had excellent success with the Bahtinov mask and use it exclusively for my focus requirements. There will come a time when I will want to employ automation software for unattended image capture. Since this would involve using focusing software without using a mask, I wonder if anyone has focused using FocusMax and compared the result to that achieved by the Bahtinov mask. Would be an interesting comparison.
