Regarding this lens.. I used this scope for ten years before dismantling. Lens did show some CA but acceptable. What was surprising is how good the optics really are. I had Roger Cergoli (from the Stewart Mirror lab) lest and clean the optics. Interfearigram shows better that 1/13. Records show that Lundin did this lens who was the principle optician @ AC.

Maybe this one is not so mediocre.
