I think you are right about that, but some of the places are sure good....much better than the desert or western areas I have tried but none as good as that campground in Maine. Of course, it's been a few years since I have been north, but if its about 24-48 hours after a cold front passage on Schoodic, it is a fine place to observe in Spring and Fall. Once in a while, the NE Maine coast gets socked in with several days of fog and rain but its great outside of those periods. Hope you get there. Makes me want to pack up this fall and go again.
