I did try VMA before posting here, but after spending a few minutes with it, I didn't see an obvious way to get a map with the labels I want. I'm still hoping there is a jpeg or pdf out there on the web that will be what I need, and save me from having to learn a software package I might not use again.

Surprising that still nothing free has surfaced. Not like the moon is copyrighted or something!

I think this would be a fun project.... One could make a set of maps corresponding to different positions of the terminator using their own whole-moon images from a series of nights.
