The Super Polaris is in fact a beautiful mount. This is especially true if you can find one with wooden legs. They have a far higher quality feel than most mounts in this class.




It is, but IMHO, the setting circles are still way too small. You need to get up to something about 6 - 8-inches in diameter before you get to the "useful," I'm afraid. I've always been able to get by with SCT setting circles, since I know the error is likely to be in the too small declination circles. Bigger is better.
