LOL...it has never stopped me before.
You are correct that that an OWL mirror would be a known quantity...but one should hope that a new scope would also have a good mirror.
Otherwise why does anyone buy a new scope?
This hobby really should have an ongoing quality testing program for optics in place so a buyer KNOWS what they are buying.
