I got the curve of the Sun wrong but that's because I was trying to 'go big'. I think, but am not 100% sure, that drawing bigger sketches means more room to get the details right. So I started drawing the prominences first, taking up most of the 8.5 x 5.5 sheet, then added the surface as an afterthought.

Heck it's fun... which is all that really matters!
