Obsession Owners Help Please

Hi
I just received a set of UTA clamps for my clone scope.I just need some shots of the clamps so I can see how it assembles. What parts are captive?I didn't get the metal ring that sits on the top of Plywood. What is it exactly so I can try and find one locally.
Thank you
John

Re: Obsession Owners Help Please

Here is the only pic I have of my scope without the shroud covering the clamps, and I needed to crop it quite a bit so I'm sorry for the poor quality.

I didn't like the pin going through the end hole and instead used a washer and nut threaded all the way to the ends of the thread which then sits on the inside of the ring to keep the screw in position. My friend who was helping me out while I was building my scope showed me this and it works great. An added benefit is that I can tighten up the clamp for transport.

Re: Obsession Owners Help Please

Hi John. Here are a couple pics of the clamp assembly and the hole the pin goes through with the metal base on top (?) and the tube holder below. The base that keeps the pin lock from scratching the plywood is pressed in and should be available from a hardware store or cabinet shop supply. The terminology is mine. Sorry.

Hi My little pins that attach to the clamp are not attached where do you attach them?
Sorry for all the questions I am in the process of putting this on the UTA.

The keeper pin is on a string that is attached between the tube holder and the lower uta ring as shown in the first pic.
