Hi I have posted the same question in the beginners forum, I guess nobody knows the answer. If I replace an 8" SCT's 1.25" diagonal with a 2" one, and want to use a binoviewer, which should I get? The celestron has not mentioned if their binoviewer is 1.25" or 2". Another one was william optics' but was 1.25" . In short, I want to see through 2" eyepieces ( and want to see through binoviewers as well ). Could anyone please recommend a binoviewer name ? Thanks Syed. |

If you want to use 2" Eye Pieces, the only model on the market that I know of is made by Siebert Optics. I hope this helps. |

Also using a 2" diagonal/eyepieces on the 8" SCT with a William Optics binoviewer; just put on the 2-1.25" adapter and you're good to go; saves you $2000 minu $200 (WO price) bucks. ![]() Best, |

Quote: You need a true 2" binoviewer with 40mm clear aperture to reach infinity focus with 2" eyepieces and not see vignetting with a 40mm fieldstop. 40mm VP units $999 T-2 or 2" Base 2" EP's scopes (EVPbinoM240) photo of 2" version |

yeah, but musn't we also consider the weight? 2" binos with 2" ep's... wouldn't that be about the same weight as an 8" sct? Theo |

I don't have any problems balancing my C9.25 with Denk II and a pair of 13mm Ethos.
