Erika I just found this thread in the forum tonight about sick PST's. I am wondering if a new question would revitalize this forum or just help to inform me. Rather than a solar scope problem, I have a Nexstar 5i that Celestron gave me to take to the Fiji Islands to do some astronomy teaching in 2004. I still use it regularly for local community star party's. However the power cord has failed and I am relegated to using the 8AA battery pack that only lasts for about 4 ~ 5 hours tracking. Can you tell me if there is anyone here that can advise me for a new power cord that runs from the the scope tripod base to the 12V portable battery? I cannot raise anyone at the Celestron phone in Torrence CA. Thanks for any info. As always, I thoroughly appreicate your candor. respectfully, Mark |

Isn't this was you're looking for: www.optcorp.com/ProductList.aspx?uid=105-238-241 Or you can get one from Radio Shack. It needs to be center pin positive, if I recall correctly. |

Try Scopestuff at http://www.scopestuff.com/ Look under 12 volt stuff at power cables for Celestron. |

I bought a universal power cord in greece for my celestron units since they had 50hz 220volt current..it worked ok. but have a look at scope stuff. they will have plenty o stuff for you. |
