M27 improvement

Less color in the nebula than my 1st attempt here:

but much tighter stars (still not sure if I like the diffraction spikes) and a great deal more stars, including the central star of M27 (I think). The little ETX was tracking well that night!

With the soft glow, I'd say you had some Dew problems.

Nice image though.

It's possible, but I don't think so. I think I had the gamma too high. I'm still experimenting, trying to get the most from the short exposures I can do in ALT/AZ. Until (if) I can get polar mode working with this mount, which probably won't be until I get too exasperated with what I can accomplish this way. I'm still at the point where I don't want to waste any imaging oppurtunities and with everthing else, don't have enough time to fool with it and do imaging both! Eventually, I'll get frustrated and figure out a way to get it to work or upgrade.
