I'm sure there must be a lot of moon shots these days, at least that's all I've been able to capture with the crummy skies.. Here's mine.. Orion 100mm Achro/CG5 300D ISO800 1/325sec

Bump up the saturation in small steps until color shows up.

I just tried it on your image. It's not working so well on this small one. It may work better on the raw. Maybe even stack the few raws you have before trying the colorizing.

The secret to colour saturating the moon is stack a very large number of frames to lower the noise in your image. Otherwise bumping up the colour saturation just results in false colour speckles amongst the true colour you are trying to bring out
100 frames is a good starting point. You can grab all these in ~ 10 to 15 minutes with a DSLR
Heres a clean colour saturation moon image

Just got back in, took a few through Big Blue with my Rebel XT. Here is one of them, ran one shot through Registax's wavelets:
(shrinking it has made it a mess, but it's still ok, I guess-I like that the CA is controlled quite nicely--this is, after all, a cheap large aperture, fast(ish) achromat)

Hi,
I'm not a planet catcher but I took my first and only moon the last 24th of April through a open window (not in the same place were I make my DSO pics)with lot of convection waves. One single shot at 1/60th sec. with Tak FS102NSV @ f/8 and unmod. Canon 40D. I reaaly like some of the moons showed here. I will try one of this one day, I mean the 100 shots stacking process.

Moon and mars conjunction through the 80mm scope. I love this shot for the colour and detail.. even on Mars

Okay - time to weigh in...
...this is a two pane mosaic taken with my 300D at prime focus through the old C14 at my club's observatory prior to its replacement with a newer Meade 14" LX200GPS. Images like this remind me to miss the old C14 from time to time (loved that OTA - hated the mount!)...

You can click on the picture and then choose all sizes for a big version, the small one doesn't quite do justice.
Taken with a 127 Orion Skyview Mak-Cas with a Canon XTi at prime focus.
67 subs stacked in registax.

Due to the resizing of the original to fit the image to the website a lot of hte data was lost. So, here is a 100% crop of a portion of the image. This thing prints out a very nice image!!!

And this is my favorite lunar image with a "cool" factor! Taken with 102mm AP Starfire at prime focus with 350D.
