Oh wow wow. I've just looked at all this and decided that I'm going to make smaller mosiacs of bits of these vistas - what a blue print to work from

Fantastic photos -- I assume these were taken from an extremely dark site, in order to show these faint dusty areas.

Fantastic shots hiro; I've never seen such depth in wide field images before. My favorite is the 4th, where the tracking precision looks best. How do you focus for these low magnification shots anyway?
In a sidenote, if I wasn't on my school laptop I might run the last one through noise ninja just to show you the difference, that image is screaming out for more noise reduction processing.

Thanks all,
s58y,
I took this at 11,000 feet above sea level near MLO, Mauna Loa Observatory, Hawaii. It is really extremely dark site, where we can see fine structure of dark nabulae, the zodiacal light from the east end to the west end, and the counter glow clearly with our naked eyes.
We can view Mauna Kea very near and Haleakala, Maui far away from the site. Cloud layer usually covers the light beneath at night.

Agnotio,
My favorite is #4, too. I usually confirm focus with remote live view in EOS utilities and trial shots, but the focus shifts easily due to temperature change. The temperature changed quickly while taking #1 #2 #3 at the first night, because the weather changed for the worse. Rain forced me stop taking subs far earlier than my plan for the night. The temperature was stable while exposure for #4 at the second night of the stay in September.
I've downloaded noise ninja and tried. The result was nice, and I've replaced the full size image in flickr with the result. Thank you.
justabob,
My experience is not enough as you know. Any advice is welcome at any moment.

No problem hiro, I'm glad you liked it. The image looks a lot cleaner. One thing to keep in mind as well is that noise ninja can sometimes be too aggressive on color. I usually turn the color setting down to a 6 or 7 out of 10 so that the saturation isn't hurt by the noise reduction. Or you can apply noise ninja selectively to the dark sky background in order not to lose any color out of nebulae or dust, although it might be tricky to do in a fine-detailed image like this one.
Oh, and you will need to re-link here to the new version on Flickr, since the old one is not working anymore

Thanks all,
Thanks Agnotio,
I've reapplied noise ninja with all three color knobs at 7 and replaced the original as below.
