At last a clear and cold night [if poor transparency] to traps some photons concluding with this full frame shot of the gibbous moon rising in the east which shows the sky coverage via the ETX-70 with homemage focal reducer and the massively sized Comet Holmes next to Algol. More asteroids, clusters and nebula to follow 
Additional notes
For the 3 hour session I shot the pics in reduced camera resolution eg 2x2 pixel binning which increased the camera 'speed' 4-fold to keep exposures short - in the hazy conditions exposures >90sec completely saturated the camera! The longest combined exposure was for inordinately faint Comet Holmes [below] close to the zenith in 5 min exposure [5 x 60sec exposures co-added] and the briefest the moon at 1/1000sec - even that was grossly overexposed so I had to partially obstruction the 70mm OG to get the right exposure  All the shots via my ETX-70 OTA piggybacked on my Meade SCT and each target located via the LX200 goto. I used my homemade focal reducer that doubles the sky coverage to 2 deg wide fov [see how 'small' the moon is!] that 'speeds' the f/5 OG to ~f/3.7

Thanks David and Mark Here's the same Holmes pic but rescaled ~50% larger - it still holds up quite well with stars down to ~mag 14/15 - not bad for a little scope

here's the first and easy bright asteroids Ceres [MP1 in Cetus] and Eunomia [MP15 in Gemini] each about mag 8.5 that should be visible in bins

Thanks so much for sharing your photos. I hope to get more involved in astrophotography moving forward, and your images show me what is possible with the optics I already own. I wish you the clearest of skies and the best of seeing, albeit selfishly because I look forward to your next set of photos!

Thanks Seeker, Tim and Dale for your interest Here's a couple of fields in Pisces that hopefully contain mag 12.8 asteroids eg MP10 Hygiea and MP12 Victoria respectively and must await another shot to see 'what moves'

This is just killing me,, that someone can capture 'The Horsehead' with a 70mm scope.

Thanks Mark - the skies were getting hazy by the time I got to image the HH and I was greedy to try so much but it had been a long time since the last clear night..... here's the HH taken on a better night through the '70' OG

Thanks Jon I'm posting this field spectrum of M42 here ['cos taken with ETX!] as there's no natural place for it on CN
It's essentially identical to my earlier M42 shots but I've screwed-in a Rainbow Optics transmission grating immediately before the CCD sensor to split the light into different wavelengths - each star comes out as a point followed by a thin line [blue to left - red/IR to right] whilst the Orion Neb glows at specific wavelengths eg hydrogen beta+doubly ionised oxygen [Hb+OIII] in green-blue and hydrogen-alpha [Ha] in red
The nebula glows via radiation from the very hot blue/violet stars embedded within it and for these stars the simple ETX-70 2-element lens struggles to bring to a common focus - hence the fuzzball to the left of each star's blue spectrum Hope result is enlightening

Here's the confirmatory dual images of MP10 Hygiea and MP12 Victoria, both in Pisces, from Jan 24/27 - each asteroid spotted by placing the two images side-by-side and using the cross-eyed technique to fuse the two starfields into a single image - the asteroid being a 'lone-rider' within the frame and circled here.
