Hey everyone. I have had my ETX in many places with me and I have seen people do all kinds of cool things with their ETX. So I thought it would be really cool to see what cool things you have done with your ETX or some of those cool spots your set up.

Here's a picture of mine (sitting in a corner of the lounge)!
I'll pop a pic on this thread of the ETX at its prime observing site (my rear patio) later.

I love my WO binos for moon viewing

Camera plugged in...

and for widefield shots

12mm illuminated reticle for precise alignment. Also GSO red dot finder for getting into the zone of the totally feeble stock finder. The combination of optical and RDF makes aligning a breeze though :-) The JMI Motofocus is also a massive improvement over the stock focusing knob and all but eliminates annoying image shift during focusing.

My little ETX-60 fitted with my Orion binoviewers. You need to use the 2x Barlow to reach the focus, but that works well with the 60's short focal length.

My DSX-90 in its original configuration. It now spends most of its time riding shotgun on my LXD75 SN6 serving as a finder/guidescope.

And my baby, my ETX-125PE. This telescope serves as the visual companion to my imaging gear. You don't need the Barlow to us the binos with either the DSX-90 or the EXT-125.

John. We have Celestron BV's and we don't need to use a barlow to achieve focus. What EP's are you using in you ETX60? I thought most of the entry level bino's were basically the same.

At the time I tried my bino's on my ETX-60 I was using a pair of Meade 26mm Plossl's. I've since switched to using Orion Explorer IIs. I'll give those a try on my -60 the next time I have it out. If I recall the focus was real close without the Barlow, so maybe the Explorer IIs will close the gap.
