Here's the current lineup. I want to add a 5mm XW at some point, hopefully in the not too distant future!

I must be somewhat in the minority, though. For some reason,

a large eye lens makes observing much more enjoyable for me, however, it's something that I rarely hear other people bring up when discussing various merits of various eyepieces.

This is No 1 for me also. T4s, Delos, Hyperions, XWs, LVWs etc give joy to me. That Delos eye lens looks like a pool I want to dive into.

Guys, count me in, love those big eye lenses as well like these:

Meade 56mm Smoothie, Pentax XW 7mm

But you'll have to ask Mark about the Pentax XW7, he has the baton now.

Best,

2.5x TeleVue Powermate
24mm Explore Scientific 2" 82-degree
13mm TeleVue Nagler type 6
12.5mm Astro Tech High Grade Plossl
10mm Celestron X-Cel
7mm Meade Research Grade Ortho

(The Plossl/Powermate combo turns out to be the sharpest for lunar/planetary)

Anyone like using Seibert eyepieces like the Starsplitters or Planispheres, in a 4"-ish F/7-ish refractor?

Tom, I use Star Splitters in my 120mm f/7.5 EON and would recommend them with no reservations.

Here's the latest iteration of what I have been using, this kit works reasonably well for both my C8 & Z12. The 1.25" eyepieces change on occasion to TV Smoothie Plössls, 7.4mm thru 32mm, and sometimes add the 4.7mm ES82. I have tried the Chinese tool box type case and Pelican types, but I have found that my new case just works and is easy to maneuver around went I have it out at the scope.

Here's a description of the case I constructed earlier this summer. NEW EYEPIECE CASE

Enjoy,
Jaimo!

First, a disclaimer: the "final" in "Final Lineup" should be in heavy quotes!
Over the years, constant tweaking to match my eyes, and instruments that have come and gone, has resulted in a constantly changing landscape. Names like Leitz, Clave, Docter, Takahashi, Masuyama, Criterion, UO, Siebert, and others have come and gone.

Last year alone I must have sold off over 100 EP's.

I may yet trim down further.

Current population:

Orthos:
34mm ZAO-1
25mm ZAO-1
18mm Pentax smc
16mm ZAO-II
14mm TMB Supermonocentric
12mm AP SPL
10mm ZAO-II
9mm Pentax smc
8mm AP SPL
7mm Pentax smc
6mm ZAO-II
5mm Pentax XO
4mm ZAO-II
2.5mm Pentax XO

Widefields:
3.5mm Pentax XW
5mm Pentax XW
7mm Pentax XW
10mm Pentax XW
14mm Delos
17.3mm Delos
20mm Pentax XW
24mm Panoptic
27mm Panoptic
35mm Panoptic
41mm Panoptic

Super Widefields:
3.7mm Ethos-SX
8mm Ethos
13mm Ethos
21mm Ethos
31mm Nagler T5
2X Powermate

Minimalist/travel Set:
Leica aspheric zoom
Baader VIP Barlow
(31mm Nagler T5)

Special Sets (complete):
CZJ Orthos (8)
Meade RG (10)
Televue circle NJ (22)

Miscellaneous:
Collins I3
Brandons (4)
Speers-Waler Zooms (5-8, 9-12mm)
Nagler zoom 3-6mm
Edmund RKE 28mm
Nagler 20mm T2
Meade UWA 14mm smoothie

...84 EP's.

Good lord.....after seeing some of those lists of kit it makes me feel a bit inadequate.

I like to work with less anyway, with an EP set-up like some of you guys I would never get out at all - I'd be either;
A) Worrying over what to take until the sky had gone cloudy again or
B) Worried that I have forgotten something critical.

Heres my case - its pretty basic stuff. On top of whats in the case there are;

Full set of BGOs (which I never use but cant sell because it would cause a domestic issue) and a TAL 25mm Series II.

I find this kit of parts works well with most of my scopes.

The only horror is the 14mm 100' doesnt like the Mak.
