That 40mm is a Beast. Its as large of an eyepiece as I have ever owned.
Its about 1 1/2 Baader Hyperions put together. But it does have a nicely corrected(in longer focal length scopes)60 degree Field of View.
So for turning my C-6(150mm F= 1500mm)into a "widefield" scope it does an outstanding job.

Hi all
I've updated my collection recently (don't we all...) so thought I'd re-list just for the heckuvit.
Most are listed in the sig line but here's my complete arsenal (including the ones I am waiting to be delivered):
Brandon Eyepieces:
48mm, 32mm, 24mm (2), 7/8", 16mm, 8mm (2), 6mm, and the rare 4mm (built from 60's optics)
Vernonscope 2.4X Dakin Barlow
Gailand: 7mm, 16.3mm(THE Galoc eyepiece)
Intes Bertele: 18mm
Siebert Optics:
24mm Ultra ep's (2)
Black Knight Bino-Viewer
4X-8X telecentric Barlow, 0.5X-1X-2X Power Wheel
Astro-Tech SWF Titans: waiting for delivery of 10mm, 15mm, 20mm, 26mm, 32mm, 38mm
Zeiss Abbe Orthoscopic-II: waiting for delivery of new set which includes: ZAO-II 4mm,8mm,10mm,16mm and 2x ZA Barlow
I hope to be able to do a complete and critical report on Brandon vs ZAO-II in slow scope (f/10)
Of course taking delivery of this much new equipment guarantees that we will never have clear skies again here in Cleveland, the land of photon-rich skies, even when they are clear.
Clear skies

If I had eyepiece case I would ahve in it:
Up: Barlow TeleVue 2x, Binoviewer Orión, pair of plössl TeleVue 20mm, pair of RKE 15mm, Powermate 5x. Down: Panoptic 35, Panoptic 24, Nagler 16 T5, Radian 6, Baader Hyperion Zoom 8-24.
I love all of them.

Here is my case,
Full set of Vixen LVWs,
TV 32mm Plossl,
18mm Celestron Ultima (fantastic eyepiece, but 17mm LVW is used far more),
5.5mm Meade 5000 Plossl (replaced by 5mm LVW),
Televue 2x, 2.5x and 3x barlows,
Moon filter,
coloured filters,
Meade Narrowband filter
Astronomik UHC, OIII and H-Beta Filters.
I also have an Orion 7.5mm plossl and a few GSO plossls lying around but they are not used. Only the worn out ex-binocular tube finderscope on my 12" sees usage from those plossls.
I got the Astronomik Filters in January, but the H-beta STILL hasn't been used thanks to weather and uni. Woke up at 6.30am this morning, saw Rigel rising......only a couple of months till I get to try it on the Horsehead!

I have to stop reading this thread. Eyepieces are addictive.
That's because each eyepiece serves as dominant a role in the quality and versatility (or specialization) of your optical train as does your telescope itself.
Very well said. I tell people that the eyepiece is half the telescope. If one puts in a cheap Chinese eyepiece on a Zambuto mirror equipped telescope or a high-end refractor can do it some injustice.
Sometimes I think that the eyepiece is really a third of the whole optical train, mirrors is one third, eyepiece the middle third and the human eye, including corrective lens is the last third. I now observe without my contacts...and just flip my glasses on when using my quikfinder.
