if i could only get the lenses back in the ep without having trouble i would be able to do this fine!!!

I dont want to go through all the trouble of shipping and waititng for probobly what would be a incredibly easy fix of a quarter of turn on the retaining ring hahahaha

One doesn't usually need to remove lenses to tighten a retaining ring. I don't have a Delos, but for example in a 13mm or 3.7mm Ethos there is a joint in the black casing not too close to the barrel, not too close to the eye. It can be unscrewed there without dumping any lenses. Then one has access to the retaining ring for the upper stack. It is, indeed, a large lens, and one really needs an appropriate spanner. You don't want to scratch or, ideally, even touch the lens surface because as clean as it is new is usually as clean as it can be. But in principle it would be just a twist of this ring and done.

The reason I'm not telling you to do that is because that's Tele Vue's job. It's their warranty...and yours, not mine. Just call them on your lunch break, or some other break, get your RMA number, and send it in. Or if they tell you to crack the thing open and use your fingernails, do what they say. If you send it in, you'll get it back PDQ and squeaky clean, and then all this talk will seem silly.

the barrel and the instajust eyecup barrel screw off but then you just end up with another black casing that does not seem to come undone so i dont think i can could even get to the upper retaining ring without taking the bottome lense out

i am calling them tomorrow for sure so this will be solved soon thank goodness haha

Isn't it great to have a TV representative on the forum? Thanks, John (Tigerider) for helping Anthony out (and BTW, it was a pleasure getting to meet you at NEAF)!
