>>>UO Konigs in 8, 12, 16.

They can't hold a candle to later UWA's (Meade S4000 8.8, 12T4 and 17T4), but they look too cool to sell.

Loved the Konigs back in the day! Although, as I recall, the 8mm and 12mm had ridiculously tight eye relief.

Yeah, the last few decades have really spoiled us. I don't even like the eye-relief on the T6's anymore, and they're a good bit more forgiving than the shorter Konig's were.

I do still use a Meade S4000 UWA in 6.6, and find its eye-relief obnoxious. Someday I expect it'll get Ethosized....

Cheers,
Jeff.

I have the 12mm UO Konig (also no longer available and not going anywhere) and almost always preferred using it vs. my 18mm UO Ortho HD. For some reason, at dark skies the 12K seemed almost to be as bright as the 18O and with the bonus nice, wide AFOV. A real pleasure to use though the ER was snug. F/10+ only, it's pants at f/6.

Leica 14mm. Everyone SHOULD want it, but almost no one knows what it is.

I have the 16mm Galoc, the same fl in the Criterion version and finally the one sold with Quantum telescopes. I also have the University Optics 24mm Koenig.

To top it off, I have a brass set of Brandons. Some of you think that I mean the brass colored (anodized) versions from a few years back.

No I mean the solid brass ones put out in 1978, advertized so elegantly in S&T that year. They have never seen any use. Kind of a shame...

And NO, these are MINE, all MINE, and are NOT for sale.

Ed

"No I mean the solid brass ones put out in 1978, advertized so elegantly in S&T that year" My wife wanted to get me that brass set for Christmas back then, but I said no thanks I already have eyepieces.
