Be careful what you wish for. You have no idea who might win or what they might decide is a great target for all

You see what you can get. I can just about image that one from home. So this would cut out most people to image. Or you can get something like NGC7000/IC5070 how many can image the whole thing or even most of it?

I'll do it. As long as Rboe is footing the tab for the plane tickets to Austrailia. I havnt accumulated enough Amex rewards points.

Now there's a fantasy star party - the Cloudy Nights "Down Under" star party... Hmmm. I've got a couple of hundred thousand miles on United just sitting there...

Here is my first and last M13. I just like the nebulas more. After reprocessing, this is the best I could come up with. I should have reduced my time from 180sec exposures to 100 or 120. I kind of burnt the core on this one.
Anyway, this is a LRGB 16:24:24:28 minutes.

Okay I lied, I thought the Crecent Nebula came up earlier so I had time to kill. Here is a better shoot of M13. The times on this is RGB 1200sec:1000sec:1200sec. Each image was 100 secs except Blue which was a 120 sec each. A larger version can be seen hear and if you look closely in the 2 oclock postion you'll see a galaxy.

Hi-res of M13 shot over two nights, 80:69:30:39 minutes binned 1x1 all channels. The shot is heavily layered to bring out the periphery stars without burning the core.

Here's mine: 16 exposures, 2 minutes each with a Canon Digital Rebel at ISO 800. Taken through a Takahashi Sky 90 on a Losmandy GM-8, no guiding. Moderate moonlight.
