Ok, so this is just a teaser, but I'll have images posted shortly. Jupiter looks amazing on the sceen. Reminds me of 2010. Not only was there a double transit, but the GRS made an appearance. I was shooting sequences every 3 minutes, but I was just getting overloaded. I'm doing every 10 minutes now but I'm not sure if I'll get the entire transit or not. I half of it now. First image shortly, no chance of a gif tonight though.

Hi Joel, excellent shot of Ganymede and its shadow. I see Jupiter's brilliant cloud tops are making Callisto look dark, similar to sunspots appearing dark when they're not. The telescope view must be awesome! Cheers, Dan

I was hoping to get some albedo features on Ganymede, but no luck yet.

You can really start to see the GRS now. These are just quick processes, Hopefully I can improve them some.

Thanks Mike! I think I'm going to take my time on this animation. Might be a day or two. Mike, what do you think about the color result in these? Seems much more "vibrant" than my pervious results. Should I bring down the saturation some or leave it be?

Those last few are really good. I'd like to have a look at some of your raw data though.
Can you post (or email me) the result immediately after stacking, before any wavelets applied?

Mike, here is the result, color not tweaked, no wavelets, nothing. I drop the contrast down to 85, take blue down to 90, Green to 95. The only other thing I did in regards to color was increse the saturation in PSP8.

hmm the colour looks better in your unprocessed image than in your processed ones. I'm not sure if it's the decreasing of contrast that's doing it.
Also as i said in the email, your originals look overexposed. The raw frame above is showing it too. Do you use the histogram in IC Capture?
I sent you (via email) a first cut I processed up from the FIT files you sent me. The overexposed EQ zone sort of ruins it unfortunately. I have a feeling there's more you can do in the capture phase to avoid this.
