A warm night in winter. Seeing became good,I dont need to trill in cold wind. Let's take a warm Jupiter. Again, took the moons around Jupiter similar they original position.

Wonderful.
What is your processing routine, if you don't mind my asking? I have the ASI120MC and am curious how other people handle their post imaging processing.

It seem you need some basic articles. Maybe some can help you. I dont have a link in English. My routine not an exception as usually. Capture>AS2>R6>JUPOS>PS But you need compare and try again and agin every step.

Hi, I see you use a Dob Goto (I've the SW 12" GoTo): I've noticed that my dobsonian isn't perfect in tracking objects (I make a perfect alignment) so I often have to adjuste the tracking by handset. Is your tracking sistem perfect or does it work not perfectly as mine? ... Your images are perfect!

OH...yes. We have the same system. It cant track perfect. So I must stay with computer all the time and correct object to center of screen. And I must use a capture screen much wider than object. For example,800X640 for a 430X430 Jupiter. I must keep some space let Jupiter run fron one side to other side. unfortunately,a wider size ill limit the capture speed. For example,800X640 limit 50fps, and 640X560 will 60fps. So...my work really hard.

Fantastic image again. Given the consistent superb seeing on your location you should consider going for a bigger scope. Torsten

Thank you very much for your simply explanation. I can understand how hard is the "backstage" of your images. It's just difficult to take a single movie to obtain a single B/W image: I dont' image the work you have to do to make an RGB composition! Now, Appreciate even more your images.

Superb detail again ZZ! As Torsten says a bigger scope would produce very special images in your location with that great seeing. Maybe a 14" Dob?

Well... many thing must be considered. If I want to get presise tracking,a equatorial system must be. A big capacity EQ like Paramount will very expensive. Maybe, a DOB16 GOTO still a good choice.

Just one question on the hard working side of imaging you told us about! What program do you use for imaging?
You could use Firecapture to do the Autoguiding for you, it really works great. Lately I did 3 hours imaging on a ROI of 320x320 with 4200 mm FL without even being at home! All avi's had Jupiter perfectly centered! Can't recommend it enough!

I still use SharpCap. Firecapture not work on my capture PC(it work on my processing PC but). I dont know whether a DOB support autoguiding. It is work like deep sky autoguiding? May you can tell me more detail. If it can autoguiding to a DOB, a big DOB will be great choice!

There is no guiding scope needed for autoguiding in Firecapture. You need an ASCOM driver for your DOB and I'm not sure if the guiding interface would work with an AZ mount.

If it is ASCOM Torsten, then guiding could work, but I don't have a DOB to try that. As far as I know, the centroid movement will be contra-rested so the object should stay centered. How is the interface with a PC going on this DOB?

A few time ago, I found a software called "Dave solar system recorder": I never used it because for my ability it's "tricky", but it seems to be suitable for guiding SW Alt-Az tracking system in HI-res imaging ... It requests ascom platform but doesn't request a guide scope and I don't know if it is compatible with ASI cameras. Surely it is compatible with IS DMK21 camera. Do you Know it? If this software performs as it should promise, I think that it should be a great effort in order to make better SW Dob autotracking...
