My current collection of 3 new meteorites. All these were acquired from http://www.kdmeteorites.com/ (just wanted to drop a shout out, as Dana and Keith were great to deal with).
I went nuts and ordered some more, so hopefully by January the collection will grow. I also have nice samples coming from Mike @ http://www.galactic-stone.com/ those should be coming in tomorrow.

Now, how beautiful are they? Nice acquisitions (books included), Helder. Keep sharing with us.
p.s. Where is your unclassified and the other Canyon Diablo?

Hi Davio,
My son took the other meteorites. He wants them in his room.
The Campo is incredible. It really is beautiful as is the Pallasite. I'll post more as soon as I get them, I am going to order some smaller Riker cases and put each specimen into a Riker case.

Make sure you keep us informed on your new meteorites. It's very inspirational and encouraging to us all.

Dario,
I went crazy and pretty much purchased a whole set with iron slices and stonies. I also got a set of riker boxes to display my samples, a cm cube, dehumidifier and loupe. I also got Mike order in yesterday and they are beautiful. I'll post those after Chistmas.

Crud! Helder, I just recalled that I was supposed to send a 1cm cube magnet to you! Did I forget to include it? I don't recall putting one in there.
Best regards,

Those magnets are fun. And they can be used to detect minute quantities of metal.
I'll hook you up the next time around to make up for it.
And let me know how those stabilized specimens stand up to the other irons and pallasites when it comes to oxidation. Every time I see a batch of these go out, I'm curious to see how they stand up. I've sent them to all four corners of the world, and no rust yet.

And my shelf. I currently share the office with my daughter as my in-laws are in, but it will be better set-up when they leave after new years. I am going to move each piece to its own Riker Box, plus the new ones I have on order, it will make a nice display.

Hi Paul,
The 2 books are:
Meteorites by Caroline Smith and Meteorites a journey through space
The Caroline book is a small history of meteorites, its a quick read and gives some basic information. I would tell you to skip it. Its a quick read, but written for high school level.
The Journey book is a much more detailed account and pretty much gives one the basics of meteorites. Its not a college level book, but gives you enough details and some cools facts (like why most Meteorites fall at 4PM), that I would recommend it.
Neither are authoritative works, if some one could recommend one of the those, I would appreciate it.
BTW I get a large package tomorrow. I'll post pictures when I can.
