Name: Glorieta Mountain Siderite
Type: Iron Group: Siderite Structural Classification: Pallasite, PMG-an Location Found: Glorieta Mountain, New Mexico Size: 9.7 Grams
The Glorieta was found by Ruben Garcia (you can read all about it here ). I purchased this specimen from Ruben (along with several others including the Odesa, Toluca, Seycham, Mundrabilia). While not a Pallasite, it is a really nice looking piece. It looks like the head of Ram.

I have a small (46 gram) Sikhote Alin coming in, this is not a fragment, it has nice regoliths. After that I don't have anything on order.
I was thinking a Franconia Iron (its a H Type and only 1, the Franconia is available) but they are small. Or maybe an Imilac fragment. Maybe a kilo Campo? Maybe a Gujba.....
So many specimens, so little money
Any recommendations?

I took the Glorieta under the microscope and there is a piece of Olivine sticking out(too small to see with the naked eye) but its there and its a beautiful golden Yellow color, so my siderite is actually a Pallasite !

This is sad, I have no more meteorites on order
Name: Sikhote Alin
Type: Iron Group: IIB Structural Classification: Coarsest Octahedrite Location Found: Sikhote-Alin Mountains, Maritime Province, Russia Size: 46 Grams
It has nice flow lines and several regoliths. The invidual looks very nice and while a smaller sample, I can see why people pay thousands for these.

I have always considered the Sikhote at the top as far as favorites go. I have 5 in mt collection. The biggest is 481 grams with flow lines and" REGMAGLYPTS" in them like yours. You call it a shrapnel look but I like to refer them as a tortured look also.

Got a new one.
Name: NWA 6953
Type: Stony/Iron Group: Mesosiderite Structural Classification: ?? Location Found: Morroco Size: 4 Grams
From Galatic-Stone: "Northwest Africa 6953 is an interesting new mesosiderite whose unique nature is a result of its composition and the collective effects of long-term terrestrial weathering. The metal content in NWA 6953 has experienced dramatic alteration and has almost entirely been replaced with the iron oxyhydroxide goethite. But it’s not the oxidation or alteration alone that makes this meteorite fascinating. Studying how the iron oxidation process takes place on Earth in NWA 6953, a predominantly orthopyroxene-rich meteorite, may have huge implications for comparing how iron oxidation may take place in aqueous environments on other alien worlds. More importantly, studying this meteorite can potentially reveal clues as what to look for in discovering other highly terrestrialized meteorites that until now have mostly gone unnoticed."

My first piece of another planet. I am really drooling but I had in my hand a piece of Mars. The improbability of this rock being blown off the planet and landing on Earth is incredible. Considering that it was observed and fresh adds to the uniqueness of it all. I wish Eric (Meteorite Market) had a larger piece.
