The CN live webcam last year at NEAF was a hoot! Are there any plans to have one this year?

There better be, that's what I'm going for -- to man (er, woman) it again! Be sure and wave to me!

I think they haven't had a chance to test the cameras like usual this year because they're also getting ready to move the store into their new building in Oklahoma...either that, or because they're confident the set-up works. But that's only my guess.

I have a backup HD camcorder if needed; Mike Loffland is supposed of be one of the attendees (I think he's the webcast guru); Alan said Mike Bieler won't make it this year.

Any NEAF live webcasts or live streams? Yes, CN does a great job, but wondering about any others? NEAIC is also going on right now, anyone know if there are live streams of that too? They should put a DVD together of those talks, i'd buy it.

No live streaming or recordings of NEAIC.

AFAIK, the only webcast at NEAF is CN's. I'll see Alan again later today and ask.

I found out there are sound recordings of some of the lectures, but I don't know yet if they'll be made available for purchase.

That's right. I've had a chance to check, and some presentations are being recorded. Some are being produced by the lecturer. This is the first year for NEAIC-sponsored video (experienced crews are being used), so how and if they'll be made available hasn't been determined.

For now, I'm told, a lot depends on how the videos turn out.

NEAF may also be videoed by these crews, but that is still pending. Streaming video is still expected only by the CN/Astronomics team, although there is a possibility of another. CN/Astronomics, as of now, will be the only interactive webcast.
